Dresses, unfortunately, do occasionally get damaged either by customers themselves or by some unqualified tailors/seamstresses. Damages most commonly occur in new or second hand dresses when they were previously altered using bad cutting and sewing techniques.
When it comes to damaged wedding dresses, repairs could be costly and in some cases they could be even unrepairable. You’ll be surprised to know how many stressful brides have come to us after they wrongly trusted and gave their beloved wedding dress to the wrong tailors/seamstresses. Tailors/seamstresses need specialised skills and experience to alter wedding dresses.
Fixing other’s mistake is always more difficult than altering an untouched dress. The possibility and the cost of fixing are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
