TSU JONG
Tsu Jong is the co-founder and Creative Director of La Couturier Alterations and White Rabbit Bridal, where she leads the design and craftsmanship of bridal gowns and couture-level alterations.
Her fashion journey began at the age of five, learning traditional tailoring techniques from her mother—an early foundation that instilled both technical precision and deep respect for craftsmanship. By just fifteen, Tsu had already begun shaping her professional path, collaborating with the Casula Powerhouse Museum to design a fashion costume titled Hopes and Dreams.
In 2008, Tsu established her fashion design house, Tsu Jong Designs, launching multiple womenswear collections across both domestic and international markets. Following the presentation of her collections at Australian Fashion Week in 2010, she discovered a defining passion for bridal and evening wear—where design, structure, and emotion converge.
Tsu founded La Couturier Alterations in 2011, expanding into Sydney CBD’s historic Dymocks Building the following year. Her mastery of dressmaking and pattern construction quickly earned industry recognition. Today, La Couturier Alterations is widely regarded as a leading specialist in bridal and formalwear alterations, trusted by brides and clients across Australia.
Having altered and reconstructed thousands of intricate bridal and evening gowns, Tsu has developed unmatched expertise in pattern-making, garment engineering, and bridal fit. This depth of experience led to the creation of White Rabbit Bridal, the company’s first in-house bridal label.
White Rabbit Bridal combines engineered pattern-making with contemporary design, ensuring every gown is not only visually refined but structurally precise—crafted to support the body and the needs of the modern bride.
Tsu’s philosophy is grounded in the belief that every woman is inherently unique and beautiful, echoing Coco Chanel’s words: “Look for the woman in the dress. If there is no woman, there is no dress.”
Look for the woman in the dress. If there is no woman, there is no dress.
